Christmas party 2019

We had a great party! 50 people enjoyed a funny pantomime - Snow White in three minutes - performed by the committee. There was plenty of tasty food, excellent company and some rather taxing quizzes. I think it is safe to say that a good time was had by all!

I am hoping for some more photos.....

Our Christmas Party this week!

We will be holding our usual Christmas party this week at our usual venue: Brixham Rugby Club, at our usual time: 2.15pm. This will be a social meeting with some fun - a couple of quizzes to tease the little grey cells and a very short entertainment from your committee. We have invited members from our Group WIs, Paignton, Stoke Gabriel and Galmpton.
All you have to do, to join in the fun, is bring a plate of food to share. Not a serving platter! Think of the amount that one person would eat and bring that! Then we get to sample lots of different tastes and nibbles. Some home made, some bought - whatever it is will be welcomed by one and all!

This is a chance to speak to some of the people you haven’t met before, whose names you have forgotten or never knew!

On a safety note - please be sure to sign in with Val before you come into the room. In case we have to vacate the room in a rush, we must be sure of knowing who should have come out with us.

Denman College

Some WI members have glanced at the Denman College brochure and dismissed it out of hand - not something they would consider for all sorts of reasons. Well, I think they are missing out enormously, they just don’t get it - and here, as if to prove it, is a non WI member, singing the praises:

Apply for a bursary, ask for Denman vouchers for your Christmas and birthday presents - get there somehow! It is worth it!
