My holiday project, second part completed!

Having discovered a group on Facebook which collects and delivers knitted, crocheted and sewn items to hospitals, special baby care units..... and so on, I have responded to their August challenge for cot covers. All hand sewn whilst we have been away! #neverbored!

Book Group

A few of us have decided to start a book group, on Jayne’s suggestion! You will recall that recently I asked if anyone had any good ideas for a different activity? Here is one!

So! The first book is “Wild” by Kristin Hannah and is available on Kindle or ebooks. Who knows, you can probably find it in the library, too, you never know! We will let you know when and how we will get together to talk about it - virtually or actually! Feel free to join in and watch this page for further details.

Another lovely card by Beryl

That one will be treasured!

Barbara’s trial craft session was successful!

The first five members who responded to our invitation email turned up at Barbara’s craft in the garden session today! As yet we have no photos of the cards they made, but we do have a view of the prepared kits and some of them at work! Mary C, Yvonne, Pam, Wendy P and Carol.
A different group of members are joining Tina for another session next week! If you would like to join in, please contact Barbara straight away! Check one of your recent emails from Brixham WI to find the details.

Ideas for more joint activities?

In response to the last email sent to all of our members, we have two ideas for some extra activities! First a book club, where members could meet in groups of 6 to discuss it, or they could hold a zoom meeting to discuss it. Any takers? Please let me know!
Secondly a walk! 6 people agreeing to walk somewhere together! Use your contact list to invite some of your friends! Several of us have met at the corner of Centry Road to walk up to Berry Head. A very lovely walk!
