Last week, I was feeling so proud of our lovely meeting, I posted a photo of the splendid cake made for us by Virginia on the UWI FaceBook page. You can see that, as of today, 67 people have ’liked’ it, and several kind comments have been added!
Last week was absolutely amazing! Thank you to all of my great friends in Brixham WI! We had a ball together!
There is a Monday walk tomorrow: catch the 9.30 bus for a walk to Dartington.
Two things from Wednesday’s meeting.
Yesterday bookworms met and discussed a book by mark billingham. I won’t put the title as Facebook won’t allow it but it was “The M*****” book” we all found it very forgettable and couldn’t get into the relationship shop between the characters and get you needed to have read other books in the series. Not one we’ll be recommending! Other books read this month include “little” by Edward Carey, “Damaged” by Cathy Glass, all Heather Morris’s book, “ Inheritance” by Nora Robert’s and “ A walk across the sun” by Corbin Addison.
Our last week of Brixham WI activities before the Big Day! What is going on? Let’s have some fun!
We had a cracking evening with George and Tina giving us a great wine tasting experience! Lots of information and advice - and a lot of fun and laughs!Thank you Both for a great time!
We have a space - does anyone fancy an evening full of fun, wine, cheese and excellent chat! Please inform Tina immediately! You needn’t miss out after all! (We could probably organise a lift for you, as well!)
Ugly scenes at our committee meeting on Monday afternoon! Carnage amongst the cakes! Slaughter around the sausage roll selection! Oh my, they were delicious! Last month there was a delectable (and huge!) chocolate cake alongside a scrummy carrot cake. Next year’s first committee meeting will be at my house with a cup of tea only!
(only kidding! We know how to do committee things right!)

The film at Brixham theatre on Wednesday was a really great night out! The Barbie film is coming up in March! Sort out your pink gear again! There are loads of good things coming to the theatre for our entertainment! Fab! Thank you Lynn Asher for organising us!
