Barbara set us some homework today! Well, we are staying at home as much as possible aren’t we?
Make a greetings card using a napkin! We listened to an excellent explanation of how to separate the layers of napkin, and use only the top layer. You could cut out the design with scissors, but to get a soft, more attractive edge to your chosen image, outline the picture or shape with a fine paintbrush dipped in water. (Don’t be too heavy handed with the water dipping, otherwise the whole napkin gets soaked and you can’t work with it! Speaking from my experience!). Then, carefully ease the picture away from the rest of the napkin, apply glue to it very gently and stick it on to your card! (The standard bull in a china shop approach just isn’t right for this!)
This would make excellent gift tags, too!
Here are three of Barbara’s and my efforts! Also, Wendy has made a very good and original effort, using white napkins! And another one just in from Beryl! Update today, Thursday, from Tina! Fabulous!
What gorgeous napkins there are in cupboards!
