Yesterday I asked our members via email, Facebook and WhatsApp, to explain to me what was so very special about the Rugby Club as our venue. This is because one member at least cannot attend our meetings because they have moved to a Wednesday, and I know that there are others who will find it difficult to reorganise their commitments because of this change.

The most important point here is that the WI is a democratic organisation, the members decide what happens. The majority vote was to remain at Brixham Rugby Club, so that is what we shall do. The only really clear reason was that more of our members live closer to BRC than to the Cricket Club.

I would like to offer heartfelt apologies to those members who will find it impossible and to those who will find it difficult to attend on Wednesdays. The craft group has also had to be moved to Wednesday. We all worked very hard over the last 17 months to maintain and develop our connections and our WI community. Sadly, some of the members who enjoyed that, cannot progress to joining our meetings. However, we will do whatever we can to make sure we can include every member in our other activities.
