Bookworms met yesterday at the golf club to discuss in a thousand different ways by Cecelia Ahern. We enjoyed the book and the idea she had for it but found it flipped back and forth into the past hard to follow and felt it rushed the end. Enjoyable book but perhaps not one we’d rush to recommend.
Other authors mentioned Rachel Hore ‘the secret love child’
Anita Shreve ‘the weight of water’
Lucinda Riley ‘seven sisters series’
Alex Michealides ‘the silent patient’
We also discussed the price of buses and trains.
We spoke about the two library apps that are free to use m. Borrowbox (ebooks, eaudiobooks and magazines) and Libby (ebooks, eaudiobooks and newspapers) although slowly over the next few months Libby’s content will be moved onto borrowbox.
This months book is ‘the lighthouse keepers daughter’ by Hazel Gaynor
Thank you, Rebecca, for this!
