What we discussed at Book Share today:

 Bookshare

We discussed our December read: Hamnet, which was thoroughly enjoyed by some and not at all by others. Then this month’s title, Vera story written by Anne Clements, which everyone liked.

Recommended books:
Shuggie Bain by Douglas Stuart, described as brilliant (his debut novel)
Vera series by Anne Cleeves ( Detective)
The Muse by Jessie Burton (1960s London and 1930 Spain)
1984 by George Orwell. Not a bedtime book
Anything by Maeve Binchy (General fiction and mystery)
Anything, such as Fat Chance by Nick Spalding (comedy author)
La Profe by Juan Fernandez (in Spanish!)
Madly deeply by Alan Rickman ( His diaries 1993 to 2015, just prior to his death)
Constable Mavis Upton by Gina Kirkham (black humour of the emergency services)
Closer and others, by K L Closer (psychological thriller)
Marple 3 stories podcasts (audio Agatha Christie rewritten)
The Last Tudor by Philippa Gregory
