Some of us walked back to DawlishSew Mondays met this afternoon at Jill Haslam’s house. We drank tea, put the world to rights and did a lot of sewing! After the most amazing theatre trip to see Calendar Girls in Paignton….what do we have this coming week?
At our last Institute meeting, Jayne asked if anyone has any memories of events they have shared with our late Queen Elizabeth II. Members were encouraged to write a short article about it for our archives, as a memory of this historic moment in our lives.
Here are some photos of a menu from Margaret Thomas, who was present at the Launch of HMS Lancaster and attended the dinner in the presence of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip.
Come and spend a sociable day (£10) or half day (£5) and try a few new things, just for fun!
Please contact Jayne or Sparks if you would like to dip your toe in the water!
Two people left their flowers today at the end of our meeting. Can Barbara remember who brought them? Or anyone else? The fuschia were in the vase, so I would like to return it!
What a great meeting, everyone! For your enjoyment and entertainment this week, Brixham WI members:

Does anyone remember making these paper stars? They were on the front of WI Life in 2018! Someone has just asked for the instructions on the UWI (Unofficial Women's Institute - UWI) Facebook group! Perhaps we could make them alongside the gorgeous gift bags at our November craft session - just in time for Christmas!
