Women Walk the World

What a glorious morning for our ACWW Women Walk the World. We walked in a very beautiful part of our world, with an excelllent guide, thank you Sue Martin! The brief history and snippets of local history were very interesting, we all apreciated you finding it all out for us. We met Marjorie, sitting quietly in a little bower, and wandered carefully up to the fairy door in the large tree. Marjorie is a sculpture of the Mother of one of the Lupton volunteers. It was made over 30 years ago, it was her final piece at college. She had it in her garden for a while but scared the postman and then offered it to Lupton. It's part metal and clay. (More text below the pictures)

We didn’t complete the walk planned by Sue (the cafĂ© was calling us…) so she has kindly agreed to show us that one on another day. It was lovely to see Ann Parker and Mary Williams.
