Sue has just come back from a stay at Denman College.

"I thoroughly enjoyed myself on the cookery course. Met some lovely ladies from all over the country. I hope to go again in the not too distant future. "

A very successful and interesting September meeting

We were rather thin on the ground today as several of our members are either away having a marvellous time on holiday, or recuperating from various ailments. We wish them all well, missed them all and look forward to seeing everyone in October!

We welcomed four visitors today! I hope they enjoyed themselves and will return next month.

Our talk was about the Torbay Women's Refuge, which we have been supporting - and I think will continue to do so, having heard what difficulties and challenges are faced by the service.

I didn't take any photos of the meeting today - so here we are, clearing away at the end!

DFWI walk at Bovey Tracey

95 WI members from across Devon assembled this morning at Parke National Trust site near Bovey Tracey. The sun shone and we had a really fabulous walk through the woods, along the river and them up and across the fields. I don't think anyone spotted a kingfisher or a dipper.... I wonder why!

Spot the crocodile! Run, ladies, run!

Head in the sand?

It's definitely time to take some action! What can we do to cut down on our use of plastics?

Summer Garden Party

Plenty of delicious cakes were consumed and much fun enjoyed at our August social. Those of us unable to attend clearly missed a treat!
