An interesting and welcoming invitation from Yes@theEdge

We are delighted to invite one and all to a cultural exchange and integration event held here at YES Brixham on Saturday the 17th of September.

The aim is to welcome and support both the Ukrainian community and the families that are hosting them.
The event will help raise awareness for the support that both our organisation and the wider local network can offer, as well as offering a relaxed and social occasion to help bring the local Ukrainian community together.
We aim to provide refreshments including both local and Ukrainian dishes.
This event will be free to access and open to all.
We would be very grateful if you could help spread the word and raise awareness, also please do get in touch if you can help support this event in any capacity.
Very best,
Tom.
YES Brixham.

Important message! Please read carefully!

The committee is recommending a change of time for the monthly meeting, starting in September.

We recognise that Brixham WI is a busy Institute and we want members to get as much pleasure from it as possible.  It is therefore proposed that the meeting starts at 2.00(instead of 2.15) and finishes at 4.15.  This is intended to give more time for members to hear about the activities, ask questions or make suggestions.  It will also give a bit more time for tea and talk, getting to know each other better.

We do hope this is convenient for everybody.  If it presents a problem, please let us know.

Don't forget

Margery's tea in August, £6, contact Mary Constance

Tea and talk at Fermoy's, £5 contact Mary Constance

Calendar Girls at Paignton Theatre, contact Lynn Asher

and most important Heligan Gardens 22/9  £29 members and £30 non members.  Special arrangements have been made for Brixham WI; friends and family are invited to join us.  Look for the fairies in the woodland or the mud sculptures. Our visit will begin with a talk about the gardens.  Contact Barbara Lawrence

Monthly meeting Beryl Cook's art, meeting starts at 2.00

Enjoy the summer!
