Wednesday Craft

 A bumper crowd turned up for the quilling workshop and lovely stuff was produced (Thank you Tina for the comment and photos)

Busy day on Monday, this week!

 Lovely but chilly and very windy walk today to Greenway. (Thank you Mary W for the comment and lovely photos)

Sew Mondays spent a very enjoyable afternoon together, looking at various items already completed, some in process and others in the planning stages. All very satisfying and productive!

Brixham Library news for you!

 Hey! look at this! A message from the fab folk at Brixham library:

Great news! We have a new computer buddy starting at Brixham Library! From Thursday 7th March they will be running half hourly sessions between 9.30 - 12.30. Booking essential!

What’s On?

 Brixham WI members have a very full and busy week ahead!

Monday: the walkers are meeting at 9.30 to catch the 12 bus to the golf club. Then a walk around Galmpton to the creek.

Sew Mondays meet at 2 pm. Please let Jill H know you will be there. All welcome!

Wednesday: craft at 2pm - quilling

Thursday: Afternoon tea, 2 pm. Some of you have kindly offered to bring cakes!

Friday: 10.30 coffee at the Berry Head Hotel

February Institute meeting

 Today’s speaker could not have been further from our originally published event! Sadly the speaker on Dolls Houses was unable to attend, and we were able to find a replacement, at quite short notice, who told us about his life as a forensic scientist! With some detail! It was very interesting indeed, and we came away with a deal of useful information…..

Don’t forget our Afternoon Tea at 2 o’clock on Thursday 29th February, we have a darts game coming up on 18th March at 1.30 at the Cricket Club, a card games afternoon at 2pm 6th March at the Rugby Club and in March there will be a trip to Brixham theatre to see the Barbie movie. Don’t shut this one down without giving it a chance, it’s a great film with a very unexpected message - only £2.50 for members, wearing pink, of course! 

Here is a poster from Aldine, for those of you who like to drink coffee and look at fabrics and quilting! It coincides with the date for our monthly coffee morning - shall we go there for a change from the usual spot?

 Half term week already for some grandparents! I hope you will have a wonderful time! Business as usual for the rest of Brixham WI members!

Monday's walk is as usual catching the 12 bus at 9.30 to Livermead and then walking round the harbour to the coastal path to the view point.

Wednesday the Book Worms will meet at 11 am.

Books!

 Since we have been thinking about books and our Book groups lately…. Have you noticed that you can borrow audio books from the library? Also BorrowBox, of course! If you like listening and you haven’t heard of this, call into Brixham Library and they will tell you all about it! It is great!

We have been reading some of the Hogarth Shakespeare novels in Book Share. A number of famous authors were commissioned to write a Shakespeare play in their own style. Highly recommended - by me, at least!

Monthly Coffee Morning

 There was a different crowd at the Lupton House cafe this morning! Very lovely to see everyone and have a good catch up! The coffee is also extremely good!

What’s On?

Here we are in February, looking forward to a week of fun!

Monday: get the 12 bus as usual at 9.30 to Windy Corner then walk down to Broadsands, over to Elberry Cove and back to Brixham. If its raining it maybe a coffee in town somewhere.
