July Institute meeting

 Brixham WI members were treated to a very interesting talk from Julia Fox, the curator of Totnes Fashion and Textiles Museum and who brought a selection of spectacular Edwardian clothing from the museum. We were shown just how many layers the Edwardian lady had to put on, even before she could put on her dress. (And the tribulations of washing/cleaning and drying these items was clarified.)

Mrs Fox advised that the museum would be closing in October and relocating to Falmouth University which has a Textile Department.

So Lynn is going to plan a trip for us to visit before it closes.

 This week for our Brixham WI members we have our Institute meeting on Wednesday! The speaker is coming to tell us about Edwardian dress.

If you haven’t collected your programme, please come along on Wednesday when Tina will have it ready for you.

Some of our Brixham WI members had a grand day out together on Friday last week! We hope lots of fun was had!

On Wednesday this week we have our Book Worms meeting at 11 - organised by Rebecca.
